On July 14, 2018, a young Black man named Harith Augustus was shot and killed by police in the street. Police claimed that he was armed, but an investigation found the claim to be false. The incident again raised the issues of police brutality and racism in the United States. Released in 2023, Bill Morrison’s documentary *Incident* follows the moment of the shooting and its aftermath, exploring its effects on individuals and society. The poster bears witness through someone’s cries and sighs recorded at the moment of the incident.
