Introduction: Introducing an exhibition that introduces introduction
© 2025 Min Guhong Mfg. (Introducing Introduction) is a portable exhibition that explores the creative world of Min Guhong, a designer whose relationship with computers goes beyond utility. Over the past ten years, through his parasitic one-man studio Min Guhong Manufacturing, he has developed a body of work that is experimental, code-driven, and unapologetically web-native.
Min Guhong Manufacturing’s creations live almost entirely online—taking the form of websites, digital interfaces, and screen-based experiences. His fascination with code and commitment to self-publishing challenge traditional definitions of graphic design. Rather than converting his works into fixed, physical outputs, this exhibition reimagines them through objects embedded with NFC tags, allowing you to access and interact with the original web-based works using your own portable device.
This exhibition offers more than just an overview of Min Guhong Manufacturing’s work. It proposes a space to reflect on his chosen form of introducing introduction and how we too can present ourselves in this space of introduction. As you interact with the exhibition and connect with the selected works of introduction, your screen becomes a point of contact—where digital authorship meets physical presence, and the act of viewing turns into an act of mutual introduction.
