Introduction: Introducing an Exhibition That Introduces Introduction

© 2025 Min Guhong Manufacturing (Introducing Introduction) is a portable exhibition exploring the creative world of Min Guhong, the operator of Min Guhong Manufacturing. Treating the computer as more than a mere tool, he has spent the past ten years presenting experimental, code-based, web-rooted work through Min Guhong Manufacturing, his one-person laboratory and parasitic studio.

Most of Min Guhong Manufacturing’s products exist online. Taking the form of websites, digital interfaces, and screen-based experiences, they challenge conventional definitions of graphic design through his obsession with code and dedication to self-publishing. Rather than reducing these works to fixed physical objects, the exhibition reinterprets his web-based work as objects containing NFC tags, inviting visitors to access and interact with the originals on their own mobile devices.

The exhibition offers more than an overview of Min Guhong Manufacturing’s work. Through his chosen form of “introducing introduction,” it offers a place to consider how he reveals himself, and how we too might present ourselves in this space of introduction. At the moment visitors connect with the works, their screens become points of contact between digital authorship and physical presence, and viewing expands into an act of mutual introduction.
