In this art market, *What Remains* is not a possession but an object of exchange. The price of the artwork you wish to acquire is the same as the price of *What Remains*. In other words, you purchase *What Remains* and then exchange it for the piece you want. If the event goes well, in the end, only *What Remains* remains.

To purchase *What Remains*, begin by looking around and finding a piece that speaks to you. Once you’ve found one, consider: Is the price reasonable? Does it suit the space you have in mind? Could it be a gift for a friend or family member? Would it look good on social media? Does the artist’s philosophy align with yours? Take your time. Think, and think again. (But decide before you’re swept away by the kind of sinful doubt that makes you question why you’re even thinking so hard!)
